Blue Chip Logistics is environmentally responsible for a reason. That reason is environmental stewardship—a big word that says you and I can do something to limit pollution while we grow our businesses.
For starters, we support SmartWay partners. SmartWay is a collaboration between the US EPA, Natural Resources Canada and the freight industry that increases energy efficiency while making significant reductions to the greenhouse gases and air pollutants that are a by-product of shipping goods around the world.
But we don’t stop there. Blue Chip Logistics actively reduces our energy consumption by recycling and reusing materials wherever possible. We work hard and smart to reduce our carbon footprint and integrate environmental responsibility into our day-to-day operations.
SmartWay is now also a Canadian initiative and available to Canada only and cross border drivers — please help spread the word!
SCMA Case Study
The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) recently featured Blue Chip Logistics in a case study that provides insight on how shippers and logistics service providers can be more sustainable and how participation in the SmartWay Partner Program can support that goal.
Meeting the Green Transportation Challenge
We were part of a successful presentation at the 2015 Cargo Logistics Canada Expo and Conference. Blue Chip Logistics was asked to participate as we are a SmartWay Partner and we were featured in a case study showing what initiatives a leading 3PL has done over the last 5 years — see the presentation: “Meeting the Green Transportation Challenge.”
Key parts of our Blue Chip Logistics plan include a full recycling program and planning the most environmental route. And naturally, your daily reports from Blue Chip Logistics come in your inbox, rather than the mailbox.
Remember, often the greenest logistics plan is the most cost-effective plan. Blue Chip Logistics works with you to determine how best to minimize our—and your—environmental impact.
